Salah seorang alumni Program Double Degree Chiba University-IPB University Program Studi Arsitektur Lanskap, Mikiya Matsuda telah menempuh karir sejak bulan Juni tahun 2021 hingga saat ini di Nippon Koei Co., Ltd, Tokyo, Japan. Nippon Koei Co., Ltd adalah satu Perusahaan Konsultan Teknik Internasional terbaik di Jepang. Saat ini Mikiya Matsuda bekerja di Human Resources Development Department. Mikiya Matsuda menyampaikan bahwa selama mengikuti Program Double Degree memberikan manfaat dan pengalaman yang sangat berharga dalam memahami dan memperlajari tanaman tropis Indonesia, perencanaan lanskap perkotaan, dan keanekaragaman budayanya. Terlebih lagi perusahaan tempat berkerjanya saat ini banyak memiliki proyek di Indonesia, hal inilah yang membuat Mikiya merasakan hubungan yang sangat kuat antara Indonesia dan Jepang.

“It was a great experience for me to learn about landscape in Indonesia. Indonesian plants and urban landscape planning in Indonesia were fascinating. Bogor, Depok, and Jakarta are cities with their own unique characteristics, and I learned a lot about Indonesian urban planning from these cities. Also, the Indonesian lifestyle, culture, and food were exciting and I enjoyed every day. I am grateful to my teachers and friends in the Department of Landscape Architecture because they always helped me. Currently, I am working in International Engineering Consultants. In my work, the experience I learned in Indonesia is very useful. It is very important to meet a variety of people and understand diversity and differences in values, and in this respect, my experience in Indonesia has been very useful. The company I am currently working for has many projects in Indonesia, and I feel a strong connection between Indonesia and Japan. I will continue to love Indonesia.” Mikiya Matsuda
