Day 4 of The 4th Summer Course on Indonesia’s Tropical Landscape: Journey from Bogor to Yogyakarta

Bogor, February 8, 2026 – On the fourth day of The 4th Summer Course on Indonesia’s Tropical Landscape, themed Cultural Landscape, participants traveled from Bogor to Yogyakarta as part of the ten-day academic program.
The journey involved a total of 25 people, including participants, speakers, and organizing committee members. The travel day was designed not only as a transition between learning locations but also as an opportunity to strengthen interaction and togetherness among all participants.

During the trip, the group enjoyed various activities on the bus, including karaoke sessions that created a lively and cheerful atmosphere throughout the journey. The participants also made a brief stop at Resto, a rest area featuring a mini zoo, where they were able to relax and interact with animals before continuing the trip to Yogyakarta.
According to the organizing committee, this travel activity plays an important role in building group cohesion within the summer course program. The informal setting during the journey allowed participants to engage more closely with one another and exchange experiences across cultural and academic backgrounds.

This travel activity is part of the overall series of The 4th Summer Course on Indonesia’s Tropical Landscape, a ten-day program designed to provide academic and field-based learning experiences related to tropical landscapes and the application of the cultural landscape concept in Indonesia.
